The Best Part of Hiring Brent's Carpet & Furniture Cleaning is...
Having Someone Else Do The Dirty Work!
Preparing Before We Arrive For Upholstery Cleaning...
Remove Fragile & Breakable Items, such as Lamps, Knickknacks & Collectibles from the area where the Upholstery is going to be cleaned and place them in a Safe Location away from the area we will be working in.
Remove Objects Around Upholstery, such as Coffee Tables, End Tables, Lamps, Plants, etc.
From The Point Of Entry To The Work Area:
Pick Up Small Items From The Floor, such as Toys, Clothes, Shoes, Boots, Wastebaskets, etc.
Lift up and Secure Drapes, if they are near our work area.
Remove Foreign Objects from Under & Between Cushions (if appropriate) as well as Under the Furniture itself.
Free Up -or- Reserve a Parking Spot
Make sure your vehicles are not in the way.
*Our equipment is Truck-Mounted, we need to park our work truck as close as possible to the point of entry & layout our hoses without the possibility of anyone driving over them.
Puppy Poo:
We hate to bring this up however, unfortunately we have found out the hard way that sometimes people are so focused on preparing the inside of their Home for our arrival, that they completely forget to Tidy Up the Outside.
So, if you have any Four-Legged Family members, please take a few minutes to
Check and Clean-Up the Grassy Area around and next to where we will be Parking and the Point of Entry to your Home. Though we really try to stay on your Sidewalk, sometimes we will have to walk on your Lawn when we are setting up or putting our hoses and equipment away.
*We don't want to track any of Fido's "Presents" into your Home.
Upon Our Arrival for Cleaning
Point Out All the Areas of Concern: (i.e., Rips, Tears, Loose Stitching -or- Buttons, Spots, Stains & What Caused them, etc.). This will help make sure they are Properly Addressed & Not Missed during our Cleaning Process.
How long will it take?
The Duration of our Upholstery Cleaning depends on the Condition Of The Item(s) to be Cleaned and How Well You Prepared your home Before Our Arrival.
Pets:
Our Hoses do Connect to the Truck therefore, your Door Will Be Ajar the entire time we are working. We are Not Responsible for Any Pets that may try to Escape or are being Protective of your Property when a Stranger is in your Home.
Therefore, please Crate, Kennel or have a Friend Pet-Sit for the duration of our work. As Gentle as your Pet is to You and Your Family, Your Pet may be Nervous and/or get Territorial towards a Serviceman who is a Stranger in Your Home.
Time to Dry:
Usually several hours is the general rule of thumb, depending on the amount of ventilation.
Upon the Completion of Our Cleaning Services, we will Position Cushion(s) in such a manor to Expose them to Maximum Airflow to help Expedite Drying.
Every 1 to 2 Hours After We Leave, You will need to Reposition Cushion(s) Wherever They Touch.
We recommend you Increase Your Air Circulation or Airflow by the use of Fans (i.e., turn the House Fan on the Thermostat from “Auto” to “On”, Ceiling Fans, Bathroom Fan, Box Fans, etc.) and turn on the heat or air to around 70-72 degrees, whichever is seasonally appropriate to help Your Upholstery dry more quickly.
Your Furnace naturally dries the air as it heats it and your Air Conditioner works to dehumidify the air, so either one will help dry the air which in turn helps to dry the piece(s).
Finally, we suggest that you turn on your Basement Dehumidifier to help reduce the amount of Humidity in your home.
*Inadequate Ventilation Will Retain Moisture In Your Home, thus Increasing Your Drying Time.
In Short:
The More Airflow the Faster the Upholstery Will Dry...
Less Airflow Will Prolong Your Drying Time.
Payment:
Payment is Due upon Completion of Service.
Cash or Credit Card Only. Checks are not accepted.
*Nominal Travel Charge outside of Milwaukee County.
